Once again, we have had an exciting week in Provo. Yesterday we celebrated the first flights in and out of the new airport terminal. Mayor Kaufusi and the team were there to welcome people to the new terminal building. And the fire department created the traditional water arch over the incoming plane as it delivered passengers to the new terminal. It was a landmark day.

Tuesday evening, the City Council selected their new executive director. Justin Harrison will be joining the Council staff on August 15. Justin comes to Provo from Nevada where he has had an impressive career working in county government, on a congressional staff, and as director of government relations for the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce. We are excited to get to know Justin better and to work with him closely as he comes to work with the council and their staff.

And finally, for all you fans of French History, today is Bastille Day! Cue the French National Anthem.
