Welcome to the New Weekly Update!

Welcome to the New Weekly Update!
Welcome to the Provo Pulse!

Welcome to a new communication tool for our employees: the Provo Pulse! This is an internal communication piece to help ensure that we, as employees, feel connected to the things that are happening across our vast city organization. The launch of this publication coincides perfectly with our moving into the new city hall and feels like one more element of the mission I keep talking about: taking the right city organization into the new building.

I want to pause and thank Wayne Parker, my world-class CAO, for helping us all navigate through that strange period called the pandemic (and up until this transition), with his amazing daily blog. As that chapter closes, I am sure we can all point to very fond memories of his wit and wisdom that shined through, in his great daily installments. Wayne will continue to play an important role with this new publication (and the credit for this proposed transition goes to him), but a lot of it will also be handled by my amazing communications professional, Nicole Martin, and her dynamic organization-wide PIO group.

The details of this publication will unfold organically over time. But at the heart of it is the strong sense of community that I hope we all feel here at Provo City—and a recognition that you as city employees already are naturally some of our best ambassadors to the outside world. The more you are "in the know," the better off we all are.

Thank you for working here. We need you and appreciate you.

Change Happens!

Assistant City Attorney Camille Williams announced her retirement effective June 30.  She has been with the City for 19 years.  We will miss her incisive mind, strong sense of ethics, and her way of finding creative solutions to complex problems.
